Bobby Stuckey, owner and wine director at Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, Colo., assures us that there is no better time to drink wine than now. “The great thing is that this is the best time in the history of the world to buy wine,” Stuckey says. What affect does price point have on wine? Winemaking, according to Stuckey, is based largely on the environment.
“Mother nature is a nice person … but she does not play fair,” he said. “Every year is a different vintage, every vineyard has a different exposition and gives a different amount of fruit, of higher or lower quality, and those vineyards end up costing differently. All those things come into play.”

But now is better than ever to get into the world of wine, Stuckey says, because there are a many inexpensive yet delicious wines out on the market.
